THE BOOK
Andy is a happy fifth grader who is daydreaming about his upcoming 10th birthday party while in math class. He has decided on a swim party and is planning to invite everyone from his class. Then, a note from a “secret admirer” appears in his backpack and changes his plans in an unexpected and surprising way. Andy no longer talks about his birthday party. Andy feels very sad and alone—but he will not for long, as his friends, family, and teachers have a big surprise.
